Metal framing has a number of advantages over traditional wood framing. Metal studs:
You can see how these advantages make metal framing particularly well-suited to North America, where moisture, gale force winds, and insects are fairly commonplace.
There’s virtually nothing you can do with wood framing that metal framing couldn’t handle.
We offer metal stud framing for residential, commercial, and industrial purposes. This includes framing for new builds – we use heavier gauge steel studs for load-bearing walls, and lighter gauge steel for non load-bearing walls and partitions.
In our over 20 years of experience, we’ve taken on projects of all sizes from a variety of residential and commercial customers. We use high-quality materials for all of our framing work, and we offer a variety of finishes for our metal frames. You can count on us to do quality work quickly, efficiently, and without incident – at a competitive price.
Whether your walls are straight, curved, or at any angle, you can count on Bella Contracting to install framing and walls that are built to last.
We offer a variety of different sheetrock products to ensure that your walls meet your exact needs for soundproofing and fireproofing. Curved walls, for example, require thinner drywall than straight walls and ceilings.
Where appropriate, we may reinforce our sheetrock finishes with fire-abating materials to ensure that they meet fireproofing requirements. You can count on us to ensure that your metal frame walls and ceilings are built to last.
You may have heard that one of the downsides of metal framing is a lack of soundproofing. That’s only true if the walls surrounding the framing aren’t properly built. By using ⅝ inch drywall and 24-inch off-centre studs, we can improve the soundproofing of any given room. If even more soundproofing is required, sound-attenuating curtain walls can be used.
You may also have heard that metal framing increases thermal transfer. Again, this is true to a certain degree, but the most important part of your building envelope isn’t the framing – it’s the insulation. We can insulate the framing using a wide variety of different insulators, and through the use of thicker drywall.
The cost of metal framing projects can vary vastly depending on the scope and specifications of the project.
