Very professional, polite and hard working group of workers. Excellent price/estimate for the work that was done. Would definitely use them again. Ben was there at the beginning of the job. The workers made a good attempt to cover everything up before demo began of a very old kitchen tin ceiling, but half way through the job when I came into the kitchen from a back entrance, I saw that the duct tape that was holding up the 6 mil plastic sheeting between two rooms had fallen down in some areas. When I told them about this, they stopped what they were doing and put it back up. Unfortunately some of the dust and lead paint particles entered into the other room. I must say though that they did a great clean up in the end. Very satisfied.

One of the most common kitchen remodels is a change to the kitchen’s layout. These changes can make your kitchen more aesthetically pleasing and more functional. The main thing to keep in mind is your kitchen triangle – the space created by your sink, oven, and fridge. These are the three most used items in kitchens, and they should be laid out so that it’s easy to walk between them without obstructions. We want to inspire you – you can create your dream kitchen. Let’s take a look at some of the most popular kitchen layouts:

One Wall

This layout is popular in small spaces – one wall houses all of your appliances. This makes your kitchen triangle a kitchen line, but it’s extremely effective if you’re looking to create extra space for dining. One wall redesigns involve getting all of your cabinets, countertops, and appliances lined up on the one wall. We can use a variety of space saving techniques to make your utensils easy to access – you can also couple a one wall design with a kitchen island.

Galley

You might call this one a two-wall – galley kitchens have appliances and storage lined up on two parallel walls! It’s less common to see these coupled with an island, but it’s possible if you have a lot of space between the two walls. Kitchen triangles, quartz countertops, and wood cabinetry are all wonderful options with a galley-style kitchen. Galleys are perfect for small spaces – by dedicating two walls to your kitchen fixtures, you take up less square footage. That can create space for a dining room!

L-Shape

Like the galley kitchen, but the walls are perpendicular. This can create extra space for kitchen islands, and allow for a more open design – many galley kitchens can be converted to L-shapes to create a more open feel.

Horseshoe

This is a three-wall solution, creating a horseshoe or U-shape. The kitchen triangle is in full effect here – it’s common to have the sink on one wall, the fridge on another, and the stove on the third. The horseshoe is perfect for serious cooks who need ample space for their appliances and devices – double sinks, large gas ranges, and a whole lot of storage can all fit into the horseshoe design. You can put your kitchen island in the middle of the horseshoe, giving you ample workspace.

Open Concept

In an open concept kitchen, the kitchen and dining room flow seamlessly into each other. When you want a deeper connection with your family when you cook and serve food, the open concept design is perfect.
